IN-FLIGHT
In 1891, Dr. James Naismith, a physical education professor, and instructor, sought a vigorous indoor game to keep his students occupied and at proper fitness levels during the long winters. One day he wrote down the basic rules and nailed a peach basket onto a 10-foot elevated track, which was the beginning of the game we call BASKETBALL. In May of 2012, basketball coach William Diaz, who volunteers at the YMCA in Queens, NY, was presented with "In-Flight" by his team, who described him as the coach who cares.
