This drawing portrays my niece, Jessica Pizarro, during her infancy. Back when she was born, I was a young teenager and adored spending time with her. As my first niece, she held a special place in my heart, and I have vivid memories of creating makeshift photo setups to capture moments I can sketch.

One particular photo, taken professionally, stood out to me—it captured Jessica in a delightful yellow baby doll dress paired with matching booties. Her sheer cuteness overwhelmed me, compelling me to recreate that image with my art. While the fate of the original drawing remains unknown, in 2016 I stumbled upon the original photograph that initially sparked my inspiration.

Fast forward to 2017, with Jessica expecting her first child, I felt compelled to recreate the image as a heartfelt gift for her baby shower. Witnessing her priceless expression upon receiving the drawing filled me with immense joy and satisfaction.
