Pollution is a form of environmental destruction. Harmful gases, oils, particles, pesticides, and fertilizers that do not filter into the environment, different types of garbage, and waste dumped each day into our environment destroy the inheritance that Mother Nature left us. "Respect Mother Earth" was part of the "EarthStewards Coalition" traveling show. More than forty artists from across New York State and Pennsylvania were featured in this exhibit. The artwork encouraged viewers to explore their thoughts and feelings about the potential of high-volume hydro-fracture drilling for natural gas being permitted in New York State.
